What’s New: Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation

Hey lovelies,

Now this foundation isn’t new or anything, but I thought I’d share a review as it is one of the few foundations that I use which does what it says on the tin.

After reading sooo many blogs and reviews on different foundations for different skin types, textures, application, prices.. all of it. I finally found a foundation which works miracles on my skin. AS IN.. WON-DERS.

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, silky, lightweight fluid foundation for seamless application.

Capture the glow of perfect looking skin with Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, an oil-free hydrating fluid with exclusive Micro-fil™ technology.

Initial thoughts

Initially before I purchased this item, I read ALOT of reviews on the product.. (simply because I like to be 98% on a product before purchasing). Then after reading several blogs I was finally sold. I was ready to fork out £40 on THIS foundation.

This foundation comes in 31 different shades (fair, light, medium, tan and deep) with only 4 shades available in deep (this slyly put me off, wanting to purchase it at one point).

But I eventually settled for a shade which I felt was suited to my yellowish/orange undertone and got the foundation in the shade 10 (which is under the tan section). This is a couple shades lighter than my normal foundation but was the closest to my undertone.

After application thoughts

After priming and application of this foundation (I applied using a damp beauty blender, dabbing it into my skin, lightly). I only used a pea-size amount when using this foundation as a little does go a long way).

Picture was taken after foundation and concealer done.

Final thoughts

The glow this foundation gives my skin.. wow. Yeah definitely worth it. The application, finish and texture.. yeah. I had no problem blending this foundation out, doesn’t dry out quickly, doesn’t crease, doesn’t look cakey.. nope, none of that.

The only problem I found with this foundation was the shade range available for those with a deeper skin complexion, as there were only 4 shades in the deep section (13,13.5,14&15).

But other than the lack of shade range for my darker skinned women, this foundation is definitely worth the money. Lovely stuff and does what it says.

Best foundation for me to date.

Hope you guys enjoyed this review?

Have you tried this foundation? If so, what are your thoughts?

I love yewww!
