Narloa What’s New/Review: Aloe + Lemon Face Wash, Whipped Shea Mousse and Avocado Face Oil

Hello lovely people,

Yes so a while back I came across a company called Narloa, which focus mainly on skincare (oooo and lovely bath scrubs).

I had been meaning to order from them and provide a review on some of their products but never really actually got round to doing this. But last week they celebrate their 1st Birthday (Happy Birthday to Narloa) and saw that they were offering discounts to potential customers (this was my opportunity to grab something).

So after scrolling through their website.. I’d finally settled for three items which I felt might be suitable for my skin type and potential help improve the texture of my skin.

The items were Aloe & Lemon Face Wash, Whipped Shea Mousse and Avocado Face Oil.

As I’ve only been using these items for a couple of days now the review will be limited.

Review

Aloe & Lemon Face Wash

I initially picked this product up because of the simple fact that it contained natural products such as Aloe Vera extracts and natural soap bark extracts. I know it seems a little extreme but I’m all about natural products as they tend to be really helpful in my skin.

Smell

This product doesn’t actually carry a smell, which is shocking.

Whipped Shea Mousse

I kid you not, I’ve never seen Shea oil or butter whipped so good. This product is so light yet moisturising, dammnnn.

One of the reasons why I chose this item is because it has a blend of Shea butter with safflower and rice brans oils which hydrates the skin and locks in moisture, which is great for dull/dry skin (lol like mine).

Smell

With this product it does carry a light smell of lime and oranges once applied to the skin. But it’s nothing too overpowering (plus I always get told that I smell good with it).

Avocado Face Oil

Specifically made for dry and mature skin, the Avocado oil helps to treat dry skin with oils high in omega 3 and omega 6, which are essential acids that our skin needs (and as I have dry/combination skin, I think it’s quite obvious as to why I picked this one).

Smell

Initially when I started using this product I didn’t think it carried a smell. Until I began using it at night, I noticed it smelt like pomegranate and lavender. But yes, it does carry a very light smell.

So that’s it from me! If you’re into natural products or just willing to try something new for your skin – go check out https://www.narloa.com

But have you tried out Narloa? If so, what did you purchase?

B is for.. & Illamasqua Samples..

Hey lovelies,

So I’ve recently started to do full face of make up, as in foundation, conceal, contour, eyeshadow the whole shabang.. wow – I will include swatches of the foundation below.

So whilst I was having a browse through Superdrug.. I came across this brand which I had seen many times but just kind of always never took any notice. The thing that caught my eye was the fact that the products were on Sale.

I decided to pick up a couple of things from their range.. including the Flawless Matte Foundation, Priming Soufflé and the Micellar Water.

B. Matte Foundation

One of the reason I decided to pick up this foundation was because it is said to be vegan friendly as well as provide medium coverage with a light weight feel. So I was like, got to have it.

The foundation range comes in 12 shades, with the lightest shade being N1 (neutral) and the darkest shade being W10. Although this foundation doesn’t cater to all undertones, there are definitely a small range in which can be selected from.

After trying a couple of samples I opted to pick a shade which was slightly lighter than my complexion and settled for the shade W8.

Consistency, packaging and more!

The consistency of this foundation is liquid and thick (wow) and it comes in a plastic bottle, as do many drug store foundations. It also has a foundation pump, so the foundation can be squirted onto the back of your hand or directly onto the skin, entirely up to you.

Pricing

Normally priced at £9.99, I managed to pick this item up for £6.66 (I know right). Which is reasonably priced, in my opinion for a drugstore foundation.

B. Soufflé Primer

Whilst out shopping in Superdrug I also picked up this souffle primer (not too sure why it’s called that lol). But I thought it would be good to reach out and try something new.

Pricing

This product was discounted from £9.99 to £6.66 (thought it would be good to give it a try).

B. Micellar Water

I picked this up to give it a try, it is said to cleanse, time and refresh. Just picked it up to try it out, may provide a review depending on the results, if any.

Pricing

Again this product was discounted from £4.49 to £2.19 (again thought I’d give it a try).

Illamasqua Samples

After reading a couple of reviews on the Illamasqua skin base foundation I decided to pick up some samples. I picked up a couple of samples as I wanted to be sure before purchasing the foundation I have picked the correct shade. Duhhh.

The three shades that I picked up are 15,16 and 17. The samples were only a £1 with free shipping, so it didn’t take a lot out of my pocket.

I chose this particular foundation because it’s the first foundation that I’ve come across which contains both Vitamin C and E and claims to create a flawless complexion everyday. In addition to being lightweight and easily blend-able and having a variety of shades. I thought it would be great to give it a try. Might provide a review if it’s highly requested.

Thank you my lovelies for reading!

Hope you found this useful.

Lots of love.

What’s New: Rimmel London Lash Building Mascara, Rimmel London Wonder Wing, Go Brow Microblading Pencil, L.A. Girl Pro Powder, Sleek Bronze Block

Hey lovelies,

Yes, so your girl is back with another mini what’s new post..

Ladies (and gents) just wanted to make you aware I do these posts for you.. I’ve received some emails which suggest some of you would like to see some more beauty posts from me.. honestly if you would like to see more of anything on my blog just drop me an email or even if you have a question feel free to pop me an email..

But without further ado let’s get into this post..

Rimmel London Lash Building Mascara

So I popped into my local Boots store lol like I always do.. to pick up something but ended up picking up something else.. sums me up. I picked this up initially because my current Mascara leaves clumps on my eyelashes and thought to try something else. But yeah I’ve heard nothing but wonderful things about this Mascara from other bloggers and Youtubers. So thought, why not give it a try?

Rimmel London Wonder Wing

Now this is a little out of my comfort zone as I never do winged eyeliner (except in secondary school) but I’m always willing to try something new, especially if it would make my eyes pop a little more. So I opted to try this one.

Go brow Microblading eyebrow pencil

Lol now if you’re anything like me and can’t be bothered to do the whole eyebrow routine in the morning.. this is a product that you need. It comes with an eyebrow spooley on one end and the pencil on the other.. it’s so easy to use and sculpt your brows.. I picked this up at my local hair and beauty store for just £1.99 (I know right) been using it since forever definitely an item I won’t be dropping anytime soon.

Simple Summer Skincare: Night Time Routine

Hello lovelies,

Honestly, I thought I’d share this as this routine has helped me massively, with regards to balancing out my skin tone and keeping it moisturised throughout the night.

So these are the products I use, in addition to The Glow Pot Cleanser, Facial Wash & Moisturiser as mentioned in my previous post.

But from right to left:

Clean & Clear Morning Energy Skin Brightening Facial Scrub

Without a doubt I grab this product both in the morning and evening. I feel like the little exfoliating seeds in this product keep my skin fresh and rid of any dirt. When applied I can definitely feel a tingling sensation in my skin and more when washed off. I love this product as it is super affordable and definitely improves the texture of dry, dull-looking skin. I also alternate between this Facial Scrub and the Neutrogena Visable Clear Pink Grapefruit Daily Scrub, just depends which one I grab first.

Source of Nature Facial Wash White Tea and Green Tea

So I’ve been searching for an all natural facial wash which doesn’t leave my skin feeling dehydrated or dry, as many products do. I first came across this product in my local supermarket (lol I know right). So glad I’m always open to trying new products because this stuff is the bomb-diggy, when used alone or alongside other products it is literally the ish. Doesn’t leave my skin dehydrated or dry and removes all traces of make up (after two uses).

Simple Skin Quench Sleeping Cream

Although I only started using this product about 2 weeks ago. This is a product I use right before bed, I just use a pea size amount, massage gently into my hand and apply to my skin. This does leave my skin feeling moisturised throughout the night but I’m sure that’s the only thing it does, at this point lol.

Simple Kind To Skin Facial Scrub

This is a product I’ve been using for a couple of months and don’t think I’ll be letting go anytime soon lol. I use this product occasionally to exfoliate when not using the other one. Simple products have always agreed with my dry ashy skin lol.

Vitamin C Brightening Daily Moisturiser

This was a try and test product, which again I picked up from my local supermarket (lowkey supermarket products pop). This is a moisturiser which works well for me at night just before I apply the sleeping cream. Keeps my skin feeling and looking brighter in the morning. So yes, been added to the night time skincare routine.

So yes, that’s the products I use in the summer and also in the night.

Have you tried any of these products? If so, which ones?

Do you have a night time skincare routine? Please do share below..

I’ll see my lovelies in my next post..
