My 2017 favourites | Makeup

Hey Lovelies,

First of all,

Happy New Year!

Hope you all had a wonderful new year and I hope 2018 brings you nothing but happiness and joy!

Just thought I’d come with another post about my favourite 2017 makeup products. So without further delayyyy!

Mac Prep and Prime Coconut

Honestly, this has been my go-to product throughout 2017. I normally spray this on a fresh face then wait 5-10 minutes before applying a hydrating moisturiser. Amazing stuff, although the coconut smell is more summer, still one of my go-to’s throughout the year.

Sleek Blush Flamingo

Fell in love with this blush from the moment I purchased it, as it just gives that natural radiant glow effect. Absolutely my favourite blush of 2017.

LA Pro Concealer – Light Yellow Corrector + Mahogany

The light yellow corrector is amazing especially if I’m going for that dewy, glowy kinda look. Definitely throwing this into my favs. Whereas the Mahogany shade is great for contouring the cheekbones around the face and on the bridge of the nose, oh and yeah the outer corners of the lips.

NYX Stay Matte But not Flat

Since being recommended this foundation by friends, lol let me tell you… this foundation is the best for that natural glow look. Although this product does have mixed reviews definitely one of my fav’s, so yeah into the basket of 2017 fav’s it goes.

Kiko Skin Revolution Foundation

Hmm.. Again love this foundation although you really do have to apply a very very good moisturiser before using this product and you do have to work very quickly as it does dry fairly fast. Definitely on the list for top fav’s

Mac Prolong Foundation

Great foundation for my skin, again need a great moisturiser before applying. One of the first Mac products I ever bought was back in 2011 and is a constant go-to for me. Lovely stuff.

Sleek Eyebrow Pencil (Brown & Black)

Although these products aren’t products that I run to, I still had to include them in my favourite for 2017, for the simple fact that this product is creamy matte in texture, easy to handle and blend.

Maybelline Sensational Lash Multiplying Mascara

One of the mascaras I refused to let go off this year, simply because of the way it made my natural lashes look so long and full. Amazing stuff.

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick shade 109 & 101

Both of these lipsticks in terms of shade, smell and finish. Both these shades I ran to this summer. The first is a slightly dark pink shade (109) and the second is medium pink tone (101). Both uh-mazing. Will definitely pick up some more this year.

Sleek True Colour Lipstick – Cherry (790), Baby Doll (771) and Stiletto (778).

Ran to all three of these lipsticks at least twice or three times a week throughout 2017. Honestly, these lipsticks provide a lovely finish. Amazing coverage. Will definitely continue using in 2018.

Nivea Original Care

To ensure my lips are moisturised throughout the day, I always ensure this product is in my bag. Again needed in 2018, so yes added to 2018.

Korres Lip butter Jasmine

When I tell you that this year I stacked up on this item lol (I have about 15 pots). It was something I couldn’t help purchasing I now know if I’m looking for a bit of colour throughout the day but don’t necessarily want to apply lipstick, yes this is the product which I go to. Lovely finish, leaves your lips feeling moisturised and plumped, just amazing.

Morphe Pointed Foundation Brush & Morphe Contour Brush

Although I did purchase the set, from the set I find myself constantly grabbing these two brushes for a basic foundation look. Of course coupled with my beauty blender (not shown in picture) I would definitely see myself grabbing these in the future.

Sacha Buttercup Setting Powder

Been crushing and lovin’ this setting powder since I first started using it. Although this does tend to leave a yellow finish (obviously as it is a banana powder) I personally prefer the finish on this product. Amazing stuff.

Shop KLB Highlighter – Nubian Glow

Bam, baby! Do you see it? The shimmer! Yasss! This highlighter popped severely for me this year (and I’ve never been a highlighter type of person, as in I’d never really found one which I’d liked). This stuff right here is the ishhhh. The bomb (literally). As in a little bit will blind everyone, as in blind ’em forreal. Definitely will be purchasing some more.

Check link here if you wish to purchase your own.

One last product that has definitely been added to my favourite (currently finished need to get some more, lol) is the NYX Professional Make-Up Setting Spray (both the dewy finish and matte finishing spray). Both amazing finishing spray. Can’t go wrong with this, honestly. This product helped to keep my makeup in check for longer.

So I guess that is it then, these were my favourite go-to products in 2017.

What are some of the items that you would consider being your favourite or go-to in 2017?
